Did you ever know how much you were loved? I stand by your side, Wiping your tears, Holding you up, supporting you, Whispering to you that I will never leave you. You have been by my side an entire lifetime. You have always held me up, supported me, And whispered to me that you will never leave me. Did you ever know how much you were loved?
Late in the night on one of our exciting escapades, We sit quietly on the banks of the Venetian canals, Gondolas at our feet and just beyond our reach. Gentle waters swaying in perfect synergy, We gaze up at the magnificently lit up sky, Discussing our philosophy of existence; Wondering where and how we will meet each other again The next time around. Did you ever know how much you were loved? And now I line your chariot with soft golden leaves, Tender scents of lavender, And flowing white linens Delicately embroidered with unwavering love. I fill your spiritual seat with love and energy from all those Who loved you so dearly and truly. I prepare your body for your journey home, And I sing to your soul- You are not alone, I travel with you; I will hold your hand tightly now, And your heart within mine. There is nothing to fear now, my dear friend. Did you ever know how much you were loved? I see your image in all of our precious memories, Too many to attempt to count. I feel your essence all around me through every movement I make. I embrace your subtle messages with keen awareness, And smile when I know that it is you. Your physical presence I will miss more than you will ever know, Yet your spiritual presence is the greatest gift you could ever give me.
